Freesbe

Customer inbox

Coming soon

Your support address, answered in a channel.

Keep the address customers already know, like support@northwind.example. Freesbe gives the inbox its own address, you forward yours to it, and every email from a new sender starts a thread in the channel you pick. Replies go out as answers to the customer's email, with the same subject, so the customer sees one email thread.

  • Keep the support address customers already know.
  • Each sender gets one thread, and later emails land in it until you close it.
  • Replies go out as Re: in the customer's own email thread, from "Sam at Northwind Traders".
  • Quoted earlier emails and signatures are left out, so the thread shows only what's new.
  • Hand off, internal notes, saved replies and AI suggested answers, like every inbox.

For Teams who answer a shared support@ or hello@ address together.

Forward, and you're done

An owner or admin adds an email address under Customer inbox: a name, the channel emails go to, your team's address and the name on replies. Freesbe shows the address to forward to. In Google Workspace, add it as a member of the support@ group or as a forwarding address in Gmail; in Microsoft 365, turn on email forwarding for the mailbox in the Exchange admin center. The Freesbe address takes mail as soon as you add it, so you can try it by emailing it yourself.

One thread per customer

Each email from a new sender starts a conversation, with the email's subject on the card. Later emails from the same person land in the same thread until you close it. Freesbe shows what the customer wrote this time, leaving out the quoted earlier emails and their signature, and your replies go out as replies to the customer's email with the same subject.

Good to know

Attachments aren't brought over yet; the message lists their names so you know to ask for them another way. Each email inbox takes up to 2,000 emails a day, 100 of them from one sender, and a workspace can send 500 emailed replies a day. Turning an inbox off or deleting it bounces mail sent to its Freesbe address, so turn off the forwarding first.
