Punch clock

Clock in from the sidebar. Timesheets for payroll.

The Freesbe punch clock is a time clock: clock in, take breaks and clock out from a card in the sidebar or the desktop app's tray. It records only those moments and any notes, never activity or screens. People fix their own week with a reason that's kept, and admins review hours, set overtime rules and export CSV.

Three buttons, where people already are

If the punch clock covers you, a clock card sits in the sidebar above your name: Clock in, Break and Back to work, Clock out. The desktop app has the same buttons in its tray menu, and the tray icon shows whether you're on the clock. Admins choose whether it covers everyone or the people they pick.

Your own timesheet, with honest fixes

Your time shows your week day by day, and only you and workspace admins can see it. Forgot to clock out, or clocked in twice? Add time, change an entry or delete it. Every change asks why, and the reason, who changed it and what changed are kept in the entry's history and marked Edited for whoever reviews it.

Rules that match how you pay

Weeks start on the day you pick. Days are cut in each person's time zone or in one for the workspace. Overtime starts after the hours you set per day and per week, breaks are paid or unpaid, and shifts longer than your limit are flagged as a likely missing clock-out. A shift past midnight counts toward the day it started.

Review and export

Admins see who is working or on break right now and a weekly table of everyone's hours with On now, Overtime, Check and Edited flags. Click a person to fix their week, with a reason. Download CSV for a date range, one row per shift or one per day, for payroll. A workflow can start when someone clocks in or out.

Questions

Does it track what people do?
No. It records when people clock in, start and end breaks, and clock out, plus any notes they type. It never tracks activity, apps or screens.
Who can see a timesheet?
The person and workspace admins. Admins can change anyone's time; every change needs a reason and is kept in the history.
Can it export to our payroll tool?
Download CSV under Export, for a date range, with one row per shift or per day, and import it where payroll is done.
What isn't there yet?
Approvals, reminders and automatic clock-out aren't available yet. The punch clock comes with the paid plans.
