Freesbe

Meetings that start where the conversation is.

Zoom is the meeting tool everyone knows, with a free plan of 40 minutes and 100 people and Pro from $14.16 per user a month billed yearly. Freesbe holds up to 20 people in a meeting or a huddle, with a guest link, a lobby, recordings, transcripts and AI notes, plus chat, booking pages and a phone system.

  • Start a huddle in the channel instead of sending a link; schedule a meeting when you need one.
  • Let guests in from a lobby, with no account or app, from a link with your logo on it.
  • Get a transcript and notes with decisions and action items after every call.
  • Add booking pages and a phone system without more subscriptions.

For Teams of 2 to 500 whose meetings are mostly internal or one customer at a time.

A Freesbe meeting with six people and a shared screen

A huddle for the quick one, a meeting for the planned one

A huddle lives in a channel or DM: anyone there drops in, up to 20 people, with a shared screen you can draw on, and it stays in a corner while you work. A scheduled meeting gets a short link, a time, invites with a calendar file, a reminder 10 minutes before, and a lobby for guests. Both can move to your phone.

Guests join from a browser, and wait in a lobby

The meeting link opens a page with your logo and the meeting's title. People in the workspace go straight in; guests click Ask to join and wait until someone lets them in, or go straight in with their personal link when the waiting room is off. A guest can join from 15 minutes before the start, and the link keeps working for later calls.

Notes you don't have to take

Record the meeting, or just transcribe it. A minute or two after it ends, the transcript says who said what and the notes list a summary, the decisions and the action items. Guests get the notes and transcript on a page of their own. Download it as text, or search the transcript.

Where Zoom is the better fit

Zoom holds 100 people on its free and Pro plans and 300 on Business, runs webinars and events, and its 30-hour meetings suit all-day sessions. A company that hosts large meetings, webinars or town halls, or needs Zoom Rooms in meeting rooms, should keep Zoom for those and may still use Freesbe for the rest.

Questions

How many people can join a Freesbe meeting?
Up to 20 in a meeting or a huddle, with up to 50 invited to a meeting. Zoom lists 100 on Basic and Pro and 300 on Business.
Do guests need an account?
No. They open the link in a browser, type a name and ask to join; someone from the workspace lets them in, or they go straight in with their personal link when the waiting room is off.
Can I move from Zoom?
Freesbe doesn't import Zoom recordings or settings. Make Freesbe the meeting on your Google Calendar or Outlook events, share the new links, and download the Zoom recordings you want to keep.
Is there a time limit on meetings?
Not a set one. A call goes on until the last person leaves; with one person alone, or someone still in the lobby, it ends at the scheduled end. Group video on Business comes with 20 group video hours per person a month; extra hours are metered.
