All plansFreesbe search finds what you type anywhere in a message, in any case, so list finds Shortlist and voice finds invoice. Narrow it with filters by person, channel, date and files. Type a question instead and Ask Freesbe answers it from the messages you can see, with a numbered link after each sentence to the message it came from.

Type at least two characters and results open in the right pane, newest first, with the matching words highlighted. You do not need whole words: list finds Shortlist and Launch checklist. Type several words and a message has to contain every one of them, in any order. Search also looks at the names of shared files, so report finds a message with Quarterly-Report.pdf attached, and at the text of app and webhook messages.
Add from:@maya, in:#sales, after:, before:, on: or has:file to what you type, on their own or with words. A first name is enough when only one person has it, and a name with spaces goes in quotes. The filters show as chips above the results so you can check what was searched, and a name that matches nobody is crossed out. Choose In #channel to search only the conversation you have open.

Type When is the spring launch? and Ask Freesbe answers at the top of the results. It reads the messages you can see, writes a short answer, and puts a numbered link after each sentence. Click a number to jump to the message it came from. Every sentence has to come from a message: when the messages do not answer the question, it says so and shows what came closest instead of guessing.
Search covers every message you can see: public channels, your private channels and your DMs, and you see the 50 newest matches. Ask Freesbe reads the same messages and nothing more, so someone else asking the same question can get a different answer. Guests can search but not ask. If an admin turns AI features off, the Ask Freesbe box goes away and search works as before.
Search and Ask Freesbe is included in every plan, including Free. Each Ask Freesbe question counts as one AI request toward the workspace's monthly allowance.
