# My workspace is closing because nobody uses it

> You got an email saying a Free workspace closes soon because nobody has used it. What it means, how to keep it, and what happens if you don't.

You're an owner or admin of a Free workspace and got an email like **Northwind Traders closes on
December 6 because nobody uses it**.

## Why you got it

Freesbe closes Free workspaces nobody has used for 12 months, or for 3 months when nothing was
ever posted or uploaded in them. The email comes 30 days before, then 7 days before and the day
before.

## Keep it

Click **Keep this workspace** in the email, or just open the workspace in Freesbe on any device.
Anyone in it opening it keeps it open, and the clock starts again. Nothing else changes.

Posting from an integration, a bot or a webhook doesn't count: a person has to open it.

## Let it close

If nobody needs it any more, there's nothing to do. Before the date, owners and admins can
[export everything in it](https://freesbe.net/docs/export-data/).

## Already closed?

For 30 days after it closes, the workspace is read-only. Owners and admins can still open it,
export it, and click **Keep this workspace** in the banner or under **Workspace → General →
Workspace → Close workspace** in the [Admin Center](https://freesbe.net/docs/admin-center/) to reopen it with
everything in it. After the 30 days it's deleted.
