# Dynamics 365 alerts aren't posting

Source: https://freesbe.net/knowledge/dynamics-365-alerts-not-posting/

> Opportunities or contacts change in Dynamics 365 but nothing shows up in the channel. Check alerts are on for the connection, the alert's filters and which environment is connected.

Something changed in Dynamics 365, but no alert shows up in the channel you picked.

## Fix it

- **Check alerts are on.** If **Integrations → CRM** says **Alerts are off** under Dynamics 365,
Freesbe couldn't add its webhook, because the person who connected isn't a System Administrator
or System Customizer. Ask one to click **Reconnect** and sign in.
- **Check the environment.** Alerts come from the environment named next to Dynamics 365. Changes
in another environment, such as a test one, don't post.
- **Check the alert takes that change.** Open the alert's **⋯ → Edit**: is the kind of change
ticked (for example **Opportunities moving stage**), and is the opportunity's estimated revenue
at least the **Smallest opportunity to post**? An opportunity with no estimated revenue is left
out when a smallest opportunity is set.
- **Check the alert is on.** An alert marked **Off** doesn't post. Choose **⋯ → Turn on**.
- **Check the channel.** Alerts don't post into archived channels. Pick another channel with
  **⋯ → Edit**.
- **Send a test alert.** Choose **⋯ → Send a test alert**. If the sample card shows up, the
channel is fine and the filters or Dynamics 365's side are the reason.

## Which changes post

- **Opportunities moving stage** posts when an open opportunity's sales process moves to another
stage. Moving a closed opportunity doesn't post.
- **Opportunities won** and **Opportunities lost** post when an opportunity is closed as won or
  lost.
- Changes to an opportunity's revenue, owner or notes don't post on their own.
- Deleted opportunities and contacts don't post.

Dynamics 365 sends changes a few seconds after they're saved. When the environment is busy, it
can take a minute or two.

## Still stuck?

Check **Dynamics 365** in **Integrations → CRM**: if it says **Needs reconnecting**, Microsoft
stopped accepting the sign-in. Click **Reconnect**. A Dynamics 365 admin can also look under
**Settings → System jobs** in Dynamics 365 for failed jobs named **Freesbe**. Otherwise, email
[support@freesbe.net](mailto:support@freesbe.net) with the opportunity's link and when it changed.
