# Connect Apollo to Freesbe

Source: https://freesbe.net/knowledge/connect-apollo/

> See who's writing in, their job title and company, from your Apollo account. Paste an Apollo API key in Integrations, Data enrichment.

Connect Apollo and Freesbe shows who a customer is, their job title and their company, next to
their conversation. Apollo looks people up by email address, so it works for customer inbox
conversations, not for calls from unknown numbers. You need to be a Freesbe owner or admin, and an
Apollo plan with API access.

## 1. Create an API key

1. In Apollo, open **Settings → Integrations → API** and click **Create new key**.
2. Name it **Freesbe**. Leave it as a key for all endpoints, or give it **People Enrichment** and
**Organization Enrichment**, which are the two Freesbe uses.
3. Copy the key.

## 2. Connect it

1. Open **Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → Data enrichment**.
2. Click **Connect** next to **Apollo**, paste the **API key** and click **Connect**.
3. **On** shows next to Apollo.

Choose **Try it**, type a customer's email address and click **Look up** to see their card.

## Credits

Each person Freesbe looks up uses Apollo credits. Freesbe never asks Apollo for personal emails or
phone numbers, which cost extra, and keeps what it found for 30 days. See
[Credits](https://freesbe.net/docs/data-enrichment/#credits) to look up only when your team asks.

## If something's wrong

- **Apollo says Not working.** The key was deleted or regenerated. Create a new one and choose
  **⋯ → Change key**.
- **Apollo says Needs attention: out of credits.** Add credits in Apollo, or move another
provider first with **⋯ → Ask later**.
