# Ask the help center from ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant

> Add Freesbe's help center to your AI assistant as a connector, with no sign-in, so it answers questions about Freesbe from the guides and links the page it used.

Your AI assistant can answer "how do I…" questions about Freesbe from this help center, and link
the page each answer comes from, instead of guessing. You add the help center once, as a
connector. It needs no Freesbe account and sees nothing of your workspace.

## Add the help center to your assistant

1. In your assistant, open its connector or MCP server settings. In Claude it's **Settings →
   Connectors → Add custom connector**; in ChatGPT, **Settings → Connectors**. In a code editor,
   it's usually an `mcp.json` file.
2. Add this address, and leave the sign-in settings empty:

   ```
   https://freesbe.net/assistant/mcp
   ```

3. Save it. The assistant now has two tools: **search_help**, which finds the parts of the guides
   and knowledge base that answer a question, and **read_help_page**, which reads one page in
   full.

Then ask as usual, like "How do I share my screen in a Freesbe huddle?". Most assistants pick the
tool on their own; if yours doesn't, say "use the Freesbe help center".

## Already connected your workspace?

If you've [connected an AI agent](https://freesbe.net/docs/ai-agents/#connect-an-agent) to your workspace at
`https://api.freesbe.net/mcp`, it already has both help tools, whatever you allowed it to do, so
you don't need to add the help center as well.

## Without a connector

Assistants that read the web can use the help center on their own:

- [freesbe.net/llms.txt](https://freesbe.net/llms.txt) lists every guide and article, and
  [freesbe.net/llms-full.txt](https://freesbe.net/llms-full.txt) has all of their text in one file.
- Every guide and article has a Markdown copy at its address with `.md` instead of the last
  slash, like [freesbe.net/docs/huddles.md](https://freesbe.net/docs/huddles.md). Paste that link into a chat to
  give the assistant just that page.

## If it doesn't work

- **The assistant asks you to sign in:** check the address ends in `/assistant/mcp`. The address
  for your workspace, `https://api.freesbe.net/mcp`, needs a sign-in; the help center's doesn't.
- **"Too many requests":** the help center slows down an address that asks very often. Wait a
  minute and ask again.
- **It says the help center doesn't cover something:** it only answers from these pages. Try
  other words, or [contact support](https://freesbe.net/contact/).

More from the Freesbe help center: https://freesbe.net/llms.txt lists every page. AI assistants can search it over MCP at https://freesbe.net/assistant/mcp, with no sign-in.
